After the Split

Well if I'm wrong then email me, but as far as I know, Burton C. Bell said that things were just not working out and something drastic had to happen before any real change could happen. That is the reason given for the break-up.

Some time after the split they had all gone their seperate ways and one day while ray and christian wrote music for their band kush, they decided that Fear Factory was not over and began to write some music together. Soon after that they phoned Burton, gave him the music they created to listen to and asked burton if he wanted to continue on with fear factory and burton, I'm guessing, took some time to think about the decision and eventually said he was in. Which brings us to ARCHETYPE...

Brief Review of Archetype

So far all that has been released were snippets of three new fear factory songs (which will not be put up on this site so don't ask), slave labor, corporate cloning, cyberwaste and archetype. Also the remix of archetype is on the texas chainsaw massacre soundtrack, so get that if you want a sneak peek at the new fear factory!

Archetype - a very classic fear factory tune reminiscent of the song "terminate" with all the classic fear factory influence, so to speak.

Cyberwaste - seems to be a very new style fear factory song speaking for the band against all those who talk shit on the internet or any other place.

Corporate Cloning - seems to be a very hard-hitting song musically and realistically speaking about the many MTV nu-metal/pop "linkin park/limp bizkit/n'sync" type bands being churned out of the corporate factory.

Slave Labor - It talks about exactly what the song title says, SLAVE LABOR. Slave labor in a sense that at their old label, road runner, Burton and Raymond and Christian felt they had been deminished to doing whatever the label said to do, perhaps, and had become a product of the label, not a product of their own device.

*note* these are only opinions not official statements given by the band or any media.
